When do we move to 1 nap?

My 10 month old is struggling to get two naps in a day. Are you waking your babies up from naps? Should I go to one nap? We do bedtime at 8pm and she typically wakes up for the day at 8 am, but the last week or so has looked like this... 8am 🌞 11am - 1pm - nap 4pm-4:44 - nap 9:15💤 I try to put her down at 10:30, 3pm, and 8pm but she refuses. I wake her up at 2 hours from her morning nap. She might even sleep longer than that if I let her. Do I wake her up? Do I try a one nap day and see how she does? I think she could do a 5 hour wake window... she has had a few of those this week in the evening. I don't want her to be sleep deprived though.

Here is our schedule: 7 am 🌞 10 - 11:30 nap 3 - 4 nap 7:30 🌙 I started waking him up from each nap, he would definitely sleep longer for his naps if I let him

@Ann Marie this is helpful! I think bringing wake up time to 7:30 and cutting naps at 1.5 hour might be a good place to start. Honestly, I think her last wake window needs to be 4 hours at least, but maybe I start with those changes and see what happens. Maybe I can cut naps to one hour long each if needed.

Ughh idk my baby is like in between 1 & 2 naps & I was wondering the same thing because the second nap usually ends up being @ like 6pm & I’m like WTH

2 naps is developmentally appropriate for this age. Wake windows should be between 2.5-3.5 hours at this age so I would recommend shortening the wake window before bed if you can. It’s pretty normal for the first wake window to be the shortest and the one right before bed the longest. I would try for a 10:30 morning nap and that will help the rest of the day. She’ll prob need some time to get used to it.

My son usually will take a 3 hour nap mid day & likes to take another one around 5:30 or 6 but we typically will wake him up after an 30- 1 hour for dinner bath then bed by 9. We also wake up at 7am

@Emilee I used to do a 10:30 nap but she won't go down until at least 11 now. I also try to do 3.5 hours before bed but a lot of times I end up doing my bedtime routine 3 times because she won't sleep. It ends up being a 4-5 hour final wake window by the time I get her down 😭
