Living in Oxfordshire

Hey everyone! We are considering moving to Oxfordshire as we think it has the perfect mix of proximity to nature and interesting cities. We like the people and the weather there and have heard good things about schools in the area. We both work from home so could move anywhere, but want to live in the south of England with decent connections to London and airports. How do you like living in Oxfordshire and which towns/ villages do you think are best for a young family? Thank you!

I moved here from London and love it. Didcot, Abingdon, Berinsfield, Summertown, Forest Hill, Wheatley all good depending what you want. Didcot is the cheapest and “worst” but is pretty central, easy to get to things and parts are nice. Summertown probably the “nicest”

I love Oxfordshire! I'm from Wales originally but my partner is from here. We live in Thame and it's a lovely market town. You're only 15 minutes away from the Oxford Park and ride which runs frequently and Aylesbury & High Wycombe are also only 20/30 minutes away if you need bigger shops. Ive got a 2.5 year old and theres plenty to do in the area. We have a lovely childminder and lovely schools in the town as well which is reassuring for when the time comes to apply. Feel free to message me! X
