How long is everyone waiting till they go out with baby?

I’m enjoying my baby bubble but I feel like I need to get out. But I think I should wait a bit longer it’s not even a week yet. How long are you all waiting?

We went out after the first week mostly because a storm prevented us from getting out sooner and it was just for a little walk initially not around anyone. Think the first time we went out out was after 2 and a half 3 weeks something like that

Hey, it’s really down to how comfortable you feel - some people wait weeks, but IMO I’d recommend just getting out (even if you walk to the end of your road or around the block) as soon as you feel physically ready. FTM here and I gave birth at 12:20am on the Sunday - was home by 6pm the same day and was out walking around the block (15/20min walk super slow) on the Monday. There’s no right or wrong answer, just do what feels right for you and baby - I’ve avoided busy places due to the rise in flu/RSV but do make sure I get out daily for a walk x

I went out the next day. Depends on your situation. I’ve another child so had to ! So it’s up to you

I've been going places as usual and seeing lots of people, even more than usual as a) people want to meet him, b) go fun places with my husband while hes off work...do what you fancy and feel up to

I went out after 2/3 days

We went out for a wander around the shopping centre when baby was 6 days old and then a short walk at the park when he was 9 days old. In hindsight I wouldn’t have taken him out at 6 days; I felt so guilty exposing him to all the germs in that shopping centre! He was 2 weeks early and only a dinky 5lb 9oz, so I just felt awful and only lasted around half an hour and wanted to get him home asap. I think it’s all depends on how you feel, just avoid crowded places x

We went for a walk on day six just locally. We are two weeks now and we went to south bank yesterday
