I had my toddler dressed in a big sister shirt! It took him quite a bit of time to realize it though 😂🫠
I found out about my 2nd when my son was 6 months lol so I made my son a quick onesie that read big brother and then surprised my hubby when he got home from work.
@Jess I was thinking about a cake with a "+1" written on it, but it's snowing outside and I have no excuse to go out 😅
He was there when I peed on a stick 😂 then I had a breakdown 🫣
@Lauren @Tasha that's a good idea, but I'll have to wait until I make that big brother onesie then 😂
@Siobhan ahahaha 😂 he was out and I knew he was not coming soon, so I had that breakdown by myself
Oh no! He honestly didn’t know what to do bless him. I think he would have preferred to have been out 😅 was just a bit of a shock.
Showed him the test, then got a digital and did it together. With our second baby I did a test while he was at work and I put together a cute lil box with baby clothes, the test and a bottle Of his fav scotch lol
I just told him lol it’s so funny we were both like meh as we knew we’d eventually get pregnant at some point it was when we found out that we were having twins that the water works started with others family members, and myself. Hubs was super surprised and excited about twins as was I . &?I told everyone pretty much in the same way by saying I had an ultrasound today and guess what I’m having 🫠💕💕such a special experience all around I absolutely love it 🥰 as people eyes would light up brightly every single time 💕💕
A month before finding out, I had a salpingectomy and lost my left fallopian tube and obviously the baby, a month later I go to the ER for unbearable shoulder pain and the doctor couldn’t administer meds because my hCG levels were in the 100k range. I said 🤔 not possible and he did multiple checks to make sure, ultrasound, urine, blood. Came back and told both of us yeah… you’re 8+ weeks pregnant now and your salpingectomy is actually a heterotopic pregnancy! Meaning it was twins! And one egg implanted in the uterus while the other implanted in my fallopian tube… the SHOCK on our faces and speechlessness in that room between my husband and I was comedy!
I wrote a little message on my little girl board about becoming a big sister and asked her to call her dad 😅 As yours is still a baby, maybe get a onesie that say big brother and ask your husband to change him and wait for the penny to drop 😂
Wrap the test up in a box and be like oh babe we're sorry it's late - like a late Christmas present?
I had a pink bear (from when we had our daughter) and blue bear (from a little boy i adored when i worked in daycare) and i put them on our bed. Then on our letterboard i put 'could be pink, could be blue; all i know is we are due' then I put the pregnancy test and a onesie that said new to the crew with it. He was shocked since that month was the first month we had been trying.
He’s not much into the big fuss so we did it with our families. Both are kids were unplannedish and the second at 9mo pp. I came out showed him the test and then went for a drive cause I was SHOOK for 2 under 2.

I just told him “I feel pregnant I’m gonna take a test” and then five minutes later emerged and showed him the positive test. Not very exciting lol
My husband wanted to see how a pregnancy test developed so he actually told me
if i’m taking a pregnancy test, we do it together! we’ll each look for the results at the same time. i wouldn’t want him to find out after me!
@Victoria~ haha this was pretty similar to mine except it was my husband who said I think you’re pregnant we should test like he’s gotta pee on a stick 😂😅 I was in denial and the only reason he said was because I had brain fog and stopped a conversation mid conversation which I did a lot with my first 🫣
I would find or make a onesie that says big sib in the making or big sib loading…
I didn't do a special surprise for either pregnancy because both times he knew I was taking a test and thought I was pregnant and I didn't want to wait and tell him so he just got the pregnancy test handed to him both times 😅
I wanted to get him a jellycat chameleon because he'd seen it and said if we have another baby can we get that. So that was my plan, unfortunately he asked me if I'd done a test and I just can't lie so he knew by my face
I texted him at work cause I was so scared 😂😂😂
We were trying and he knew I was 9 days late. I had tested 3 times including that morning and they were all negative. So we decided to have a quiet drink in the house, I had a sip of about 3 different drinks but didn’t drink any of them because they didn’t taste right so it was literally a sip then they got passed to him with me saying I don’t want that 😂 not normal for me and he ended up going out because his gran phoned and asked him to help her with something. When he came back I was on the couch with my legs up staring at the test crying (I was panicking because I found out when i was drinking 😅 even tho I didn’t have much) but he came in and was talking to me he didn’t notice it sitting on my knees right away and I couldn’t concentrate on what he was saying. He asked what was up and I just looked at the test again then he seen it 😂 it was a very positive test at only 3 weeks pregnant and I had done a few more over the next couple days. He was excited tho 😅
I asked him to make our son a bottle using his formula and when he opened the tin there was my pregnancy test in it 😂😂 (obviously I’d saved an old tin and hid the new one!) it was a cute moment!
Like I did with with first, handed him the pregnancy test right after I read the results
I found out while my husband was at work, so bought a cake and wrote on it. Had it waiting when he walked in the door 🥰
