Hi there, thanks for sharing. I’m in the United Kingdom. We have some allowance for leave. I think mentally it is hard to make that decision to go off work. But I think that I’ll need to do it for my health
Hey - I’m in the UK and I took off 2.5 months. We have that entitlement in the UK. Pregnancy related illnesses allow for that. You’re only talking about a few weeks. HG is the hardest illness - it’s amazing you’re even able to do what you’re doing. And at the end of this you need to parent a new baby. So girl get your rest. It’s important for you and it’s important for your baby 💕 sending so much love and healing vibes your way xxx
Thank you so much both. I’m very grateful for you sharing xxx
Hi! I was completely unable to do any work whatsoever, I wasn’t even able to care for myself, I had to take a leave and eventually quit my job because doctor wasn’t willing to extend the leave when I was not vomiting so much but I was so drained of everything that I was still useless and didn’t have any energy left in me to keep fighting to extend leaves and all that. So I quit. And when I did I had this extra stress released and that helped with anxiety a bit and I just focused on getting better (harder job than my chemist job). I understand not everyone is willing/can afford quitting, and I wouldn’t have done it if they had extended my leave as I needed without fighting it. I recommend you at least take the leave. I’m in the US. What country are you in?
