I know of one person who went to Darent Valley but that was 11-12 years ago and I know a lot has changed since then
I gave birth at darenth valley hospital via emergency c section was meant to use the birthing centre but didn’t happen- could not fault anything or anyone at the hospital they are amazing and very helpful especially as a first time mum. Would use this hospital again for sure
I was in the birthing centre and it was lovely but I got moved to the delivery room. The birth was great and they saved my life however the aftercare was awful. They removed my catheter at 10pm and then questioned why I, after losing 2.5l of blood, hadn't used the loo before 4am. I had no way of brushing teeth or anything. Wasnt allowed to shower and was left sitting in my own juices for nearly 48 hours resulting in a bed sore. Twice they said they'd sort a bed bath but it never happened. Signed out AMA in the end because I couldn't manage another night. Food is apparently some of the worst out there too
