Taking an ex premature baby abroad ✈️

Hi everyone! My baby arrived at 30 weeks and is now 3 months old but only 1 month old corrected. I wanted to take him away for a who at trip abroad (6 hours flight) but am not sure if there are any risks because of the altitude etc? Would be grateful for any tips or views on this as I would not want to risk his health by taking him on a plane journey. Thank you in advance 🧡

Hey! My little boy was also born at 30 weeks, and he’s 1 at the weekend! We have been on a couple of holidays, first when he was 5months/3 corrected. I fed him on the way up and down and he fell asleep the vast majority of all the flights. Just make sure you have a dummy or comforter and plenty of milk (boob or bottle!!) and you’ll be fine ❤️

Babies can fly when they are 8 days old so I think you are fine. Mine was 3 months and 6 months when we were flying so far and he slept all the way 😊 Good luck! 😉

It’s best to consult your pediatrician for the all clear. Every baby is different! Generally it can be safe depending. As for high altitude trips(mountains), I’d wait a bit.

@Annivie thanks so much! In terms of altitude I meant the altitude of being on the plane- defo not ready for any mountains for a while!

I took my little one away at 6 weeks old! No problems 😇
