Nerve damage

Has anyone else had only what I can describe as I burning sensation on the skin? It’s not all over, at the moment I have it on my shins and I did have it on the back on my hand going down to my wrist. It almost feels like a bruise but it’s burns and feels like a pulling sensation. So for instance I was drying myself off h a towel after a shower and I rubbed my shins quite hard and it was quite painful. The area can also feel numb. I’m going to guess it’s some kind of nerve damage but I just wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

That sounds like hypersensitivity. It happens when you're pregnant. Just wait until you give birth, and you should feel better after that. Last weeks are the hardest. Just hang in there and try not to overstress too much.

Thank you! Yeah I wondered if it was something along those lines, I’m not all too concerned but I couldn’t find all too much on google about it as the symptoms are quite hard to explain. I presumed it was something to do with nerves and extra weight/blood.

Yes but mine was in the outer thigh. Exactly as you described - feels like burning and really sensitive to touch and cold and hot like I had bruised the whole area. I went to the doctor and he diagnosed it as this: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/meralgia-paresthetica/symptoms-causes/syc-20355635 I was prescribed a neuropathic pain medication and it went away after a few days. Apparently it’s to do with a compressed nerve - for me caused by sitting at a right angle when breastfeeding.
