Good reads

Anyone read any good books recently? Don't mind what genre! Feel like I need to read something different other than romance! I am on book 4 of the year though so going strong to hit my target of 60 books! 📚

I recently read think twice by harlen coban, so fricking good!!! Xx

How do people read so quickly?

That is good going. Think I am only on book 2 😅 there was another post earlier asking for recommendations, maybe have a look at that.

I’ve just finished ‘the book club’. Really enjoyed it x

@Stacey I use story graph and set a target of what I want to achieve and then I also try to read at least 50 pages a day!xx

@Kate I've done the same kind of thing but it can take me so long to read 50 pages some days if I'm very lucky I can almost read 100 but other it's like 20-30 pages

@Stacey it's not a race, you need to enjoy the reading. I used to read more than 100 books per year years ago. Now I'm lucky if I read 20 😅😂 I do other things like knitting now and just enjoy some time on the sofa 😊

Do you like children's books? I've just started The mysterious Benedict society as I've seen the TV series and I'm really enjoying it. Sometimes I need a break from romance and smut and go on happier books. Love children books because usually there's a nice ending

I have recently read the rotters club, it's quite old (I think it was written in 2003). It tells the story of a group of teenagers in the 70s. It's also a trilogy, so if you enjoy it you can go on and read about the same people getting older (like I am doing). But it can also be read on its own... I mean it doesn't end on a cliffhanger.

I’m reading the silent patient at the moment and enjoying it so far! My last read was yellowface which I DNF’ed

Just finished Songlight!

My sister just bought me Harlan Coben Missing you so I’m yet to start it but I heard it’s really good they’ve also released a film on Netflix recently

I finished One Summer in Paris by Sarah Morgan a couple of days ago. Yesterday I started Better Off Dead by Lee & Andrew Child.

My target is also 60 books! You are doing much faster than me! I read Gone Girl. It’s an old book that got made into a movie. It’s long but keeps you hooked. I also like Layla by Colleen Hoover and Never Lie by Frieda McFadden. Enjoy them!

@Alessia same. I crochet and knit and cook, clean, organize the mess my family makes and works two jobs

@Stacey I start of with smaller books then work my way up that have a 100/190 pages then I go to 200/500 pages 🤣🤣x

@Ema That's what I have done I kept most of them as short as I can but I only have so many short book x

@Stacey tell me about it 😂😂x

I’ve really gotten back into reading. My first read was the little French guesthouse and then there are 2 follow on books which are return to the little French guesthouse and summer at the little French guesthouse.

The Whalebone Theatre by Joanna Quinn is a good one, and Still Life by Sarah Winman. Also if you haven’t read A Gentleman in Moscow, I’d definitely recommend that 😊
