Brushing Teeth

Does anyone’s LO absolutely HATE having their teeth brushed? Mine will push his tongue against the toothbrush so I can’t reach his teeth, while crying, and when I do finally manage to get to his teeth (bearing in mind I basically have to pin him because he’ll turn his head and try and knock it away with his hand) he starts SCREAMING. Like, hysterically crying. It’s making me dread brushing his teeth and I know this is bad but I only brush them once a day because it upsets him that much and I hate pinning him the way I have to pin him. Literally as soon as I take the toothbrush out his mouth he stops crying instantly. I have to give him the toothbrush after to chew on (which he’s happy to do). I call it his emotional support tooth brush 😅 just wondering if anyone has any tips? I’ve tried talking to him, singing to him, he’s just inconsolable.
