I applied the day our birth certificate came through and received payment the next week
I’ve had it but then none this month? Dunno what’s going on!
@Shanika it's every 4 weeks so if it hasn't been 4 weeks since your last payment you won't have had it yet. I got it today as it was 4 weeks today
Nope not had one payment! I applied for it the day after we registered our LO. I called and they said they’re still processing my claim and they have a crazy back log check back in feb🙈💀
I got it really quickly after I applied
@Ell I got the same response. I applied in September!
Mine took 13 weeks! My little girls name has an accent above the E so they used this as the excuse as they said it had to go to the specialist team. They’ve backdated it though so I’ve just received 17 weeks worth of payments 🙂
@Kayleigh @Rueben my claim isn’t even showing in my HMRC app I just have a text to say it’ll be processed within 28 days 🙈 I hope it comes through soon these nappies aren’t cheap! 😂 @Kayleigh our little girl also has an accent above the ‘A’ how weird that would require a specialist team🤔🙃
@Rose yeah I know I have a two year old, mine comes 2nd or 3rd every month but nothing this month, since I’ve added my little boy and I’m not sure why. I had a slightly larger one last month so thought that was for both but now it’s not come through this month
@Ell mine didn’t show either! It literally appeared a day before I received my payment! Mine wasn’t even a fully new claim - as I already have a child so I was just adding on! Yours will be taking longer because of the accent. I rang them exactly 12 weeks after I applied to chase it! Apparently they can’t put an accent in electronically it has to be done manually🙈😂
@Kayleigh exactly the same as I’m adding a child too! Thanks you absolute angel! This has eased my anxiety a lot ☺️
@Shanika so odd! Hope this gets sorted soon. Give them a call asap x
I heard there was a massive back log but mine was confirmed within a few weeks x
Applied for it on about 2nd oct. (2 days after registering her birth) Paid on 14th Oct and then ever 4 weeks since then 😊

i applied as soon as i could after getting her birth certificate which was in October and i still haven't had anything. i already have a son so it was just adding another and i didn't remember it taking this long but honestly, who knows! now seeing these comments it has eased my anxiety that i don't need to chase it. the surname has an accent so maybe the reason why..
From reading all the comments it seems to be people who are adding a child that it's taking longer and people whose first claim got it quickly
Me too, called them last week and they said that it can now take upto 3 months so I should start receiving it this month with back pay
I’m not sure why you wouldn’t receive it yet that’s stressful! But you will get backpay for those months when you do.
I have a 4 year old and only just realised I can get it :( will it be backlogged 3 months automatically?!
@BromMama yeah it will
As long as you registered for it within 3 months of your little one being born you will get a lump sum (back dated from when they were born) and then get paid every 4 weeks.
I applied mid October and just received mine yesterday. Check your status online
Have you applied for it?? Applied for it 2 days after we registered my LO's birth and had payments
