@Jenny yeah we’ve done different vegetables and things like that, but I just feel like he’s literally having one veggie or two veg mixed at meal times. I feel like we’ve still got so many fruit and veg to try though before we go onto proper meals.
Not exactly puree, but for breakfast, we do a mix of fruit and yoghurt. We did dried apricots (rehydrate with cinnamon and cloves) blitzed then added, blueberries, strawberries, pear (needs to be softened so we heat with cinnamon/ginger) and keep going through the fruits that way x for the veg I just see what the purees are on the shelf and make at home, today was pumpkin, carrot and banana. Also we are doing mix of BLW and puree so whatever she doesn't eat as BLW ill blend. In the freezer she has tomato, onion and red pepper (which i might add to pasta or do on its own) for example x
We’re also doing a mix of blw and purrees as she’s super fussy. For breakfast she will have something like weetabix with mashed bananas and full fat milk or porridge with full fat milk or cream and some fruit puree for flavour. Sometimes she might have omelette or scrambled egg. For lunch today she has got carrot and swede soup with some toast And some rice pudding for dessert if she wants Then for dinner she’s got spaghetti bolonese
I used to do courgette, aubergine, tomatoes, carrots, red onion and garlic, roast it all, blend up and then serve it as a puree, then when you’re ready for finger foods you can put it on toast or use it in some puff pastry to make pinwheels! Basically just any veggies you’ve got!
Just blend all the food you eat x
The only thing I’m a bit confused about is they say to do one vegetable/fruit/food every couple of days but when you’re full on going in and doing a meal obviously things like onions and stuff are a bit hard to try on their own plus also it’s gonna take bloody ages if you’re doing it all separate all the time? My little boy currently can’t have dairybut this won’t hopefully be going on for much longer so at the moment we’re just thinking of ideas I also need to try and think of sneaky things that are quite mushy that he can take out to sort of get used to textures but the main things are we’re doing does anyone know of any good books that I could buy that does both sort of recipes in?
I did pretty much every vegetable which took around a month and then I started on meals. I tried each meat every couple of days and then I tried gluten for a few days etc.. x
Peas? Swede? Broccoli? Cauliflower? All will blend down easily once cooked. Or for meals literally anything you can cook. You can also try scrambled eggs
