Am I over reacting?

The hospital I’ve chosen to have my baby at, I went in there a couple days ago for reduced movements where they put me on the monitor, baby’s heart rate was 170 and they said they were concerned because it was too high but then sent me home, I went in again last night for some pains I were having and they put me on the monitor again, but this time baby’s heart rate was 120 and they were concerned that it was too low, I was also coming up at 40 on the contraction thingy, they’ve prescribed me CODIENE and said they will have to wean baby off them when she’s born and sent me home, none of it makes any sense to me.

That's sounds really bizarre to me. As far as I know Codiene is a pain killer. And I don't think it does much else to support a pregnancy. I would talk to my midwife or OB or other care provider about if that is a wise drug to take while pregnant.

I haven’t picked them up because I don’t want to put baby through any harm. Today I’ve lost a part of my mucus plug and it was yellow (I’ve been loosing it for weeks but has been clear) and had some brown watery discharge which was on a pad that I had put on I’ve taken pictures of it all to show my midwife but I don’t want to go to the hospital because it’s like they’re just brushing me off x

That sounds like a wise choice to me.
