How do you stop giving milk at night?

My LO has never been a good sleeper and milk is the one way I can guarantee he will go back to sleep so we have carried on giving milk when he wakes but now I'm starting to think it's making him less hungry in the day as he hardly eats some days. Anyway, we stopped giving him night feeds 3 nights ago and now he just won't go back to sleep šŸ˜ what do I do? Yesterday we were all up at 3am today was 2am, I can't function! Should I just go back to offering milk in the night again??

Id suggest to keep going! & Making sure his tummy is really full before you put him to bed at night, less likely to wake up due to hunger that way. He's been used to waking up for milk feeds for a while so he's probably protesting and thinking why am I not getting my milk like usual. Keep on not offering it and he will eventually accept it's the new routine šŸ˜Š

I stopped night feed just before he turned two, the first few nights were horrible but once he realised heā€™s not going to get it the night after he would wake but not expect it then go back to sleep straight away. However we are back on night feed because he had a sleep regression a few weeks ago and it was one of the only things that helped and I have a 6 month old so needed to just do what I could. Hoping to take it off him again but not yetā€¦
