Mum and Baby swimming sessions?

Hi, I have a 14 month old and wanted to start swimming. Casual swimming, not really interested in block bookings. For example, pay x amount for 12 weeks of classes. Just casual sessions you can book for the day. I’m in BD2 for reference. Does anybody have any recommendations? Thank you

Umm I’m not sure if there are any where you can just book as a when you want, but the council ones are so well priced that we do those. Yes your booking for 12 weeks but at £60 it’s really hard to complain about that x

@Claire how do u book the council ones? that's not bad at all i wouldn't say to say that when u go swimming normally it's about £5.50/£6 for an adult swim anyways! x

No it’s great. It’s only half an hour, but that sometimes more than enough depends on their mood. So I do to Shipley, and I just went down and asked at reception, there’s a form to fill in and you pay £5 I think but you get that back when you pay for the first course. There was a waiting list when I started but I think that’s because I needed a weekend. There probably a lot more availability during the week. They do them at eccleshill as well x

There’s eccleshill swimming pool I believe they do mummy and baby/toddler sessions where you can just arrive before the times, pay and swim. Also bowling pool which is bd3 they have baby/toddler sessions at 9.15am. They’re just casual swims too, and family sessions aswell. Children under 3 are free and adults are £6 I believe. I’m yet to go aswell x

I’d defo check Google , “swimming pools near me” and they should come up with websites too, prices/ timetables x

@Claire I've been waiting 4 months for a place. I rang up and they said it's a 6-12 month wait 🙄

@Katie I’m pretty sure I waited about 9 months but I assumed it was because I needed weekends. I’m happy I waited though, at this price I don’t feel bad if we miss the odd class
