Toddler has influenza A

My toddler is almost 2 unfortunately she tested positive for influenza A which she got from me do any mamas know how to deal with this? We took her to the er because she had a very high fever they just said to alternate between Tylenol and Motrin

We got hit with RSV. Just stay hydrated and let her sleep as much as she wants! Just make sure her breathing is ok and hopefully it passes soon for you guys!

Just work to keep her temp regulated including cool/luke warm bath as necessary. That helped my daughter feel better.

Yes, that’s the standard protocol. I prefer just Motrin though. Baby will want to rest a lot and not eat much but probably be over in a few days.

Regulating her temperature, extra sleep during this time is helpful and making sure she stays hydrated I personally feel is most important! Littles can get dehydrated fast so pushing fluids is always best! All of my nieces and nephew had it and it lasted a full week for them, hoping you guys get through it quickly!

Get a baby pulse oximeter! I like to check my baby’s oxygen saturation when he’s super sick. That you’ll know if you really need to take him in to the er or not.
