Care.com or Sittercity.com You can do a trial run and have them babysit while you're home and around to see how they interact with the child and feel their vibe. Many sitters on those two websites will have references already on their page but you can ask for references that you can personally reach out to as well. It will be difficult to trust anyone with your kid. I worked as a Nanny for several years and all I can tell you is that I loved the job and I never did anything wrong hahah working with kids was the best! I was also very willing to do whatever the parent needed to feel safe and okay. The good ones will be willing! Checking in, sending pictures, etc.
I was a nanny for 7+ years and if it wasn’t through referral, then it would be through Care.com or a nanny group in my city on Facebook.
I found someone off peanut!
I used to babysit and a lot of moms go through babysitting networks like care.com, personal ads on indeed etc. there’s also facebook groups specifically for connecting moms to babysitters in different areas which was the most helpful! Or if you know anyone who has a babysitter maybe they can get you on their schedule or with another babysitter friend. I would recommend having nest camera and having a few days at home with them to show them your routine
