Looking for the best novel

Hi! I’m taking a long train trip soon and hoping to find a great book to bring along. Ideally something with some substance, strong female lead, and well written. I want to get lost I. This book. (And not too heavy!) Done books I’ve enjoyed in the past are Americanah, the Vanishing Half, and the Beekeeper of Aleppo.

Have a look at The Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead. It’s about a girl whose dream is to be the first female pilot to fly around the world and charts her life. It’s historical fiction so compliments what you’ve listed

Have you read any Taylor Jenkins Reid? x

Any Kristen Hannah!

If you want something more easy reading to get lost in have you read fourth wing yet? It’s romantasy, with sarcastic dragons, powers and fighting and plenty of strong female characters

Lessons in Chemistry Strange Sally Diamond Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

Dictionary of Lost Words Where the Crawdads Sing Lula Dean’s Little Library of Banned Books The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo Wahala

I also came here to recommend Great Circle! Worth also checking out most books by Barbara Kingsolver - particularly the Lacuna and the poisonwood bible. Some others you might enjoy: - Middlesex - Sorrow and Bliss - Mongrel

Definitely Forth Wing! 🥰

A thousand splendid suns
