How to stop swaddling

Hi, My baby currently sleeps swaddled in a tomee tipee sleeping bag with her arms in (9 weeks old) Tonight I have put her arms out the poppers in preparation for her next size up sleeping bag which can not be swaddled. She has been throwing her arms around waking herself up, she did settle for a bit much has been very loud in the night. Any advice?

I only transitioned when she was 3 months when they move a lot less. And as she was ready I just stopped using the swaddle and moved her into a sleeping bag x

Agreed with @Barbara I’d wait a bit longer it will be easier at 3 months

@Barbara @Youss it’s more because she’s is now touching the bottom of it with her feet so will soon be soo big for it and there’s no other ones that are a longer length but swaddled

My LG is outgrowing hers as well (15 weeks) . We've been putting one arm out at a time (alternating each night) so she gets used to it before we transition to the longer ones. Is she sleeping in a moses basket or next2me? Our LG is in a next2me so when she moves her arms about she doesn't hit the side of the crib and wake herself up

@Sophie aww that’s a good idea!! Will try that thank you! Moses basket but moving her to her next to me tonight as I think she will settle in it now!
