With my first they were convinced it was multiples because of my hormone levels and they reminded me at every ultrasound that another baby could be hiding until my 18 week appointment they finally determined it was only a singleton. So to answer, they can't rule it out that early but there's a possibility they can see a second early as 6 weeks
