15 hours funding for 3 year olds

Does anyone know if we have to apply for a code to get the funding when they turn 3 for September? I’ve tried looking on the government website and all I can see is funding for working parents. I’ve been made redundant and planning on taking a year off so I will only be entitled to 15 hours. I have found a nursery for my little one in September but I can’t find anything about it. Am I just being thick? 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈😂

You automatically get the free 15 hours when they turn 3 so you shouldn't have to apply for it x

You get 15 hours from 2?? My little boy has had it since September 2024? You get 30 hours September 2025 x

https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/15-and-30-hours-childcare-support/universal-offer/eligibility This is a good website that explains it all

@Beth 30 hours is only for working parents. All children get 15 hours from the term after they turn 3 regardless of parents working or not working

I haven't been able to find out any info for non working parents. It's all about the funded places. When I look on my local council website, all I can find is to go straight to the nursery to apply for a place. Maybe the nursery can help you x
