MMR injection for 1 year old

I’m a little bit sceptical of given the measles mumps and Rebel injection to my one year-old as I’ve been hearing quite a lot of stories and it’s making me quite worried about having my one year-old. Have it done. Has anyone else given their child MMR’s? If so, has there been any issues?
