Follow up visit after miscarriage?

Hi, after a D&C or D&E procedure, for those that had that procedure, did you do a follow up visit with your OB-GYN? My doctor didn't say I need a follow up and when I called a few weeks later, the receptionist didn't know if I needed to follow up either. I don't have any pain or anything but wondering if others had to follow up to check on them?

I had a 2 week post op both times, my ob checked my cervix and said everything looked good. I would also take pregnancy tests to make sure it went negative (positive could mean retained tissue) mine went negative 3 weeks post d&c

2 week follow up is typical
