Pp Bleeding

How long does postpartum bleeding last? I'm 6 days pp from my induction of a fairly traumatic birth with a 2nd degree tear. My bleeding got better days 2 and 3 and then amped up again 4 and 5. Not a ton but it got bright red again and seemed to increase in volume slightly. My pain also got better but then got worse again. My milk is barely still coming in and I've had increased cramps again as I'm getting drops. I know to expect bleeding probably for weeks but is it normal to pick up in heaviness after it slowed down? I'm afraid to check if it was a stitch that ripped. I may ask my hubs to look but feel so bad asking 😂

I am now 12 days pp and my bleeding seems to go light then heavy then light again! I also had 2nd degree tear

Girl I’m in the same boat. But this is my 3rd pregnancy, 4th baby. It’ll get lighter again. And the cramping will still be there because your milk is slowly coming in. You’ll especially feel it when breastfeeding/pumping. All normal. I would only be super worried if you’re passing golf ball or bigger sized clots and soaking a pad every hour. At least that’s what my nurses told me when i left the hospital

I had a c section almost 3 weeks ago and I’m still bleeding, it’s slows down but then I breastfeed and I get cramps and it picks up again 😭🤣

If you think your stitch has opened definitely contact your doctor! I hope that’s not the case 😭 My OB told me to expect the bleeding to slow down and then increase again and then do it again possibly!! I’m going to be 2 weeks pp on Friday and it did increase but has slowed back down since this weekend 😊 This is my second kiddo and last time I had ppl bleeding for 8 weeks 🙃 The cramping is from what I know just your uterus contracting and doing its job!So that’s hopefully the case for you now!

Yeahh, my bleeding has been heavier somedays and lighter others im bottle feeding though, im 15 days post partum and it got heavier yesterday again but the health visitor informed me its most likely the scab from my placenta coming away which happens 7-14 days after birth if thats any use? I also found when i was out a walk or more active they days the bleeding was slightly heavier too! I had labial stitches and thought the same that a stitch had ripped or had opened but it hadnt xx

I'm 2 weeks postpartum and my bleeding has stopped for the past few days but sometimes I'll randomly gush if I get up and then won't bleed for the rest of the day or for a few days

I'm 9 days pp and since about day 5 I only seem to bleed when I pump I gad a c-section tho

Ahh all so reassuring! Seems normal to have flows be different depending on the day. My milk started coming in droplets Tuesday at 1am so we're still new. But that came with cramps again that had stopped after birth. I haven't passed any clots. I also don't think my pad is soaked after an hour. It's hard because witch hazel pads don't really absorb them so it's hard to tell how full the pad is. Follow up question to anyone that sees this: when did yall stop wearing adult diapers and/or jumbo pads? I'm so scared I'm going to randomly leak and bleed while out at apts. I also can't find massive pads like the hospital gives out. Then I could wear regular underwear and not adult diapers.
