I had to call the child support office and tell them I don’t wish to put him on it but I still need benefits and they put me back on
They will try n get you to put him on but I think it depends who handles your paperwork. Some dhs caseworkers are more strict and will try n make it hard for u to get it
not with SNAP but with TANF yes apparently it’s a requirement
@Ariyana during the interview, did they ask questions about him? I live w him and he provides everything financially…I wanna apply but I don’t want them to try to put him on cs or ask about him financial situation & think that he makes too much
Yes my man makes too much and they did ask questions on where he lives and stuff like that, luckily we had our apartment and he had a cousins house that lived 5 mins away, i just said he lived there
She’s my adoptive mom so they didn’t really think that was too sketchy
Totally depends on the state I believe. I’m in VA and they never asked any questions about my son’s father.

Like gabi said it depends on your state !! I would give it a shot! Just say you don’t know your “ex’s” whereabouts 😭🤷♀️ worst they can do is send u a letter saying your denied. She won’t tell u that on the phone so I wouldn’t worry.
Yes, I have EBT. I’m not sure about child support though.. They ask for everyone that’s living in the household which is my husband and I and two kids.

I’m in Georgia and never been asked about my boyfriend/bd. My sister is in Kansas and they took her off because she wouldn’t put him on child support. She’s back on it now but was able to get around the child support thing.

Have him write out a paper stating he supports your child with “X” amount each month for his child to help assist you. As long as it doesn’t exceed a certain amount then you’ll be fine.
They don't not just for snap . But if you apply for full temporary assistance or tanf they will try or they'll ask why you don't want to put him on and it may cut your benefits if you don't
Tbh yes they’ll try to push child support on you that’s why I got cut off twice. I lied and said I don’t live with him but they still push child support.
