Taking SSRIs when pregnant

Heya :) I currently take sertraline for anxiety and have done for about for a year. I had an appointment today with the obstetrician about risks to baby and the birth. I can’t decide whether to taper off of them before due date or carry on taking them as they work really well for me mentally. Wondering if anyone is in the same position or has any thoughts? Thank you 🫶

I would carry on I’m on anti depressants and was worried to but I was reassured that being in a good mental state when baby arrives is the best thing to do

I’m on sertraline and have been for years. I point blank refused to come off them for a combination of different reasons. It’s totally safe to take during pregnancy, but I was told I may have to stay in for 24-48 hours after birth just to monitor for signs of withdrawal for the baby. Xx

I’m on 100mg of sertraline, everyone I’ve spoken to advocates for them and I was on the same dose with my first, he was and is absolutely fine x
