Happy kid hares daycare

My son just turned two and started a daycare almost 6 weeks ago. He’s the happiest, roll around, laugh and sing all day but at daycare he’s a completely different kid. Apparently, he cries often and he’s only there for 4 hours!! I work from home and it’s a good way for me to start my day off strong. Has anyone experienced this?
