Bad eater

Is anyone just at the end of their tether with a bad eater?!! It sends me crazy. He used to eat breakfast quite well and I've always gave him weetabix, yoghurt, or readbrek. The only thing he eats now is cheese and fruit. Every day is a struggle, I know if he doesn't eat well he's up in the night for a bottle. I make lovelt nutritious meals, he's never had processed or frozen food but my god it's getting to the point I want to give him anything so eats something. Why is he not hungry? But he seems like he's hungry and moody. He hasn't eaten tea in the last 7 days. He's just been eating a few mouthfuls of something for breakfast, a bite of something and some fruit / snacks for lunch and that's it. No milk in day either ??? Not sure what to do but it's getting me down when I see other babies eating lots. I want him to have nutritious meals for support his brain development but the boy isn't getting that😂 He's never been a good eater but recently it's getting awful. He also refuses high chair so we got him little table and chairs but that freedom means he just does not go near his plate for more than 1 second. We all eat dinner together too

Also I want to add, the things he usually loves, rice, pasta, beans, scrambled eggs and cheese sandwich he just won't eat either!

We go through patches of fussiness & i honestly think hes just really pushing boundaries. Weve had stand offs & tears on both sides, but i win 99% of the time. Its a battle of wills. Eventually, after about ten minutes of a stand off, he will just eat it & enjoy it. It drives me insane.

Yep my lil boy when weaning would eat anything. Now he only eats pasta rice scrambled eggs and potatoes won’t touch anything else! So so hard!

Kind of same with my boy - PICKY! Won’t touch a veg or fruit. breakfast is usually a breeze. Lunch is hit and miss. He has smoothie mid afternoon which I cram as much veg and fruit into as possible. Then dinner is good if lunxh was bad but it’s all a battle. Chasing him around the kitchen. We all have to give huge rounds of applause for every spoonful! He does like it when he feeds himself although it is another whole job cleaning after.

My son has recently become quite difficult at meal times, mainly at dinner. He will feed himself when it’s something he can hold but not with a spoon yet, when I’m feeding him he will start shaking his head, laughing, closing his mouth when the spoon is near him. Never used to do this and always used to be a really great eater. At first I thought it was loss of appetite because of teething and being poorly around the same time but he’s still doing it now. Then I realised he’s just pushing boundaries because the second I take his plate away (assuming because he wasn’t eating anything) he will cry and want his dinner back. What initially was quite a quick process with feeding him has turned into nearly an hour of getting him to finish his dinner, half of that is just him shaking his head and refusing food. So for us it’s just been perseverance and patience and he will eventually eat his dinner
