Stay in hospital and experience with labour

I was just wondering how everyone’s labour was at princess Anne and what support they had from midwife’s. Also how was your stay after having the baby. And do they have any special treatment for parking if you’re in there for labour? because jeez parking is expensive 😂 and I just want to know if it’s worth me and my partner just getting dropped off there lol

Can’t comment on parking but I’d assume not my midwife’s were good the stay wasn’t too bad I just wanted to go home though haha also the length of stay depends on if you have epidural c section ext and if it’s your first birth

After the first day, my partner looked for outdoor free parking. Found one around 10-15min walk. I was in for 5 days. Had lovely ladies looking after me during labour, after birth and for the rest of my stay. Food in the cafeteria is really nice. Feel free to push the button for anything you need. That's what they're there for. Night shifts are a bit alow as there aren't as many midwives as during the day one

Back in 2016 they gave a discount for parking but don't think that happened when I was there in 2020. Your partner is not allowed to stay after you've been taken to the Ward, so consider that if you will drive there or get a lift. My partner had to leave around 3am and luckily we had driven there.

You can get a parking discount but you’d have to ask for it and then go over to a building over the road to claim it. But keep all your tickets, I was in for 2 weeks with a kidney infection at 35 weeks and no one told us until the end of my stay by which point we’d spent over £100 in parking and the tickets were binned 🥲 I had a very long labour so had lots of midwives, they were all amazing!!

Definitely better if you can get dropped down there however my partner shared our ticket at the print desk and we got a discount before staying in the few nights we were. I gave birth last summer and could not fault the care from the staff there, everyone was brilliant and I felt safe in their hands xxx
