I guess it's up to you. But my thoughts have always been, any side effects wouldn't compare to what it would be like to actually catch any of these. Often side effects are feeling a bit rubbish for 1-2 days but you can be weeks in hospital if not worse if they actually caught any of these. And there was a measles outbreak near us last year and nursery were sending out information about the vaccine so it has to have a link with more people not vaccinating their children. I'd just weigh up your options, and actually speak to doctors and nothing you see on here/tik tok etc

Intrigued to know what you’ve heard about it? It is recommended and has been for years. I had it myself as a kid and I think most of us probably did? Last year there were lots of measles outbreaks among children due to it being highly infectious and people not being vaccinated and it’s common to end up in hospital with it. Obviously it’s completely your choice but as Sophie says, please make sure anything you’re reading to inform your choice is created by qualified health professionals x

I’m also intrigued about what you’ve heard about the vaccine? Being that it’s been around for many years, I would imagine that it’s completely safe. I hate vaccines but I do believe they are a necessity evil. The disease itself would be much worse. It’s completely your decision, and I’m not here to judge! But please make sure you make an informed decision.

@Ana a lot of people saying the MMR vaccine causes Autism,I honestly do not believe tho, just wanted to hear other’s opinion.

Unless those people can provide scientific evidence I wouldn’t believe them. This vaccine has been around for many years. I had it when I was a kid.

The link to autism information is from many years ago and as above said, completely discredited and the doctor saying it was sacked for falsifying information. I'm shocked that the link is doing the rounds again and scaring new parents! Autism cannot be caused by anything, you are born with it, nothing you ever do will cause your child to have autism or not have it. It's sad that people pray on mum's that just want to make the right choice all the time. You clearly are a mum who cares otherwise you wouldn't be asking the question and worrying. I'd just try and avoid listening to anyone who isn't qualified, so if you're worried, just give you gp a ring and I'm sure they'll happily talk through any concerns you have 😊
