BLW advice

After a slow start to weaning my baby has started munching on some finger food (different veggies, toast etc) but he won't let me spoon feed him at all, won't pick up the spoon to feed himself and also won't stick his hand in a bowl then his mouth either. I know he'll get there with this so that's fine but I'm running out of ideas for things like peas that he can't pick up yet.I can't just mash up my salmon peas and rice because he won't eat it like that so feels like I'm just giving him the same thing everyday at the moment!

How about making fishcakes? You could mash it all up and fry or something similar, then cut it up into finger foods. I made puff pastry pinwheels with spinach yesterday to give my LB a leafy green he wouldn't otherwise eat too

My 2nd was like this, he was Mr independent and just wanted to feed himself! There's some good finger food recipes in the "what mummy makes" cookbook! Mostly things wrapped in pastry we found good as made it easier to hold! Or could mix with eggs into omlette style things/into savoury pancakes! X

Ideas: baked oat meal, omelets with different veggies, egg muffin, bolonese mix, meatballs, baked fish

Great ideas thank you!
