@Olivia mine have never and I mean never rang at first I would call them and then wanted to see what happens if I don’t ring and they never check to see what’s happened
From a safeguarding perspective, they should do if they are expecting little one that day.
That’s strange ask them when you LO is next in what is the usual process if they don’t hear from you if the child hasn’t arrived.

I keep thinking they just don’t care and its upsetting. But my LO loves going nursery never complained and they have made her so confident and sociable as she would cry near other even if they were family so idk what to think
I'd always let our nursery know if our daughter is going to be off sick/holidays. make them aware and also so they know if there is going to be spare space for the day. But I'm sure they'd call if we didn't turn up one day and they didn't know the reason x
Mine call if my daughter isn't there by 9.30am. Sometimes we're late and I feel like I'm in trouble 🤣
Having worked with children, they should be calling to check thats standard practice
