Getting snappy and irritable with partner

My husband is amazing, very helpful, understanding, comforting and loving. He talks to bump, tells them how much he loves them already and can’t wait to meet them etc etc. Throughout pretty much the whole pregnancy I’ve felt very calm, grateful and loving towards him… but this past couple of weeks, I just feel so irritated. I really want to shake it off, but it feels very similar to how I am the day before my period… annoyed and short with him for no reason. Is this happening for anyone else? I’m 36 weeks. He knows I don’t mean it of course, but I had hoped the last couple of weeks would be lovely and not me being a moody cow 😅

The progesterone drops so our bodies know to expel the baby in the same way progesterone drops before our periods to expel the uterine lining so that could be why you are feeling a similar way. Just explain to him it's hormonal and you do love him but you are just feeling extra irritated ATM but it's a good sign that baby is on the way x

Exactly as what’s said above, moodiness and irritability are common signs on the approach to labour due to hormone fluctuations. It’s not you 😅x

I felt the same the other day, over stimulated and just everything he did was annoying me so i just took some me time alone and explained i needed to be alone and felt better after! Didn’t tell him the things that annoyed me but just let them go and gave him a cuddle later when i felt better
