Solid introduction

Hi ladies, Could you guide me on where to start when introducing solids to my 5.5-month-old? What foods should I prepare or buy to ensure a smooth transition for my little one?

Are you talking purées or regular food? I’ve started on purées but I do have some things I have for my list to buy when I start baby led weaning

My pediatrician recommended Solid Starts app. I just downloaded it and plan on using it when baby is maybe a month older. Otherwise, recommend checking baby led weaning facebook groups

I started with peas as her dr recommended starting with that so when she’s older she’ll like it cause of how nasty it might be. I bought a puree machine for her and bought frozen veggies and fruits but I didn’t think I was making it right so I ended up buying the purées instead. So far she’s had sweet pea, green beans, carrot, broccoli, strawberry , egg , sweet potatoes and prunes

Thank you for your suggestions, @Vivian I wanted to check what type of purées do you start with? @Abbie I will download the app. @Jody I will try that too.

I started with applesauce and pears. After that I did veggies. Carrots, broccoli, green beans. He’s 5m now I put his baby food in mason jars(4oz) if Monday -Wednesday he had fruits Thursday - Sunday he eats veggies
