Hi Kelly, I'm in gosforth happy for you to give me a message. When looking around for my little boys nursery I found rates were around £85/£90 per day. Groceries I couldn't really help with as it varies so much for us per week depending what meals we are having but it's close to all the supermarkets really if you wanted to shop around. Most places do terms of baby classes they workout about £7 per class. I do drop in at Brunton Babies each week which is good as you don't need to pre-book at that's £4.50. There's also hopscotch play cafe on the high street too. On the high street there's the gym group which I think is about £20 per month. There's the Better leisure centre with a pool which is about £30. Driving distance there's David Lloyd and Nuffield which are pricier. There's also a yoga and reformer pilates studio on the high street too. Other venues have weekly drop in classes I think eating out and take aways more expensive than London at times as there's a lot less choice. Feel free to message me x

Groceries - depending on our needs that week I tend to spend about £100 for a weekly shop (3 humans 3 animals at Tesco with club card) Gym - I do Pure Gym and that’s about £25 a month depending on the package If we’re doing dinner out for 2 of us it ranges from £45 to £60 depending on the restaurant (that’s typically drinks, shared starter and two mains) Takeaway - we expect to spend about £30-40 on Chinese, Indian etc.

@Lauren thank you so much for sharing all this detail! the nursery fees sound very similar to london prices which I thought might be a little cheaper.

@Kate thank you so much for sharing!!

@Kelly I wish they were!
