Yes me! In my first pregnancy the thought of it made me feel so unwell but this time my goodness I want one! Maybe because looking after a toddler whilst pregnant is such hard work I feel driven to it 🤣.
100% missing my red wine and platter with parma ham and brie ! And naughty cigarette after haha 😄 no replacements! I take comfort in making plans for after birth 😅
@Megan haha that is so funny 😁
I had a glass of dry wine
@Shannon while you was pregnant? I’m kinda wary :(
@Marta honestly I’m making so many plans for the summer haha
All I keep thinking about is a nice cocktail!! 🍹 Ive found sound nice flowered water caned drinks that I’m just making do with but I still need a proper cocktail!!
@Katy honestly a cocktail would be so lush especially in the summer. Thankfully I can have one around then ! 😩
Yes same here, cheers to that!! 🍹
@Megan haha yes a red one but never exceeded that .. but i only did twice before 6 months .. as some people be seeing their period and not knowing they’re pregnant and still drink .. munchkin is born healthy strong active but its your personal judgment don’t recommend drinking through out just one glass would do.. I missed my wine so much
Yes I did occasionally have a glass once I was passed first trimester. It’s very normal in other cultures - France, Spain, Italy.
@Sammy they do say it’s better after the first trimester but I’m still quite wary yk. I keep smelling my boyfriends wine atm🤣
@Shannon honestly fair enough haha! I might go for it but maybe a bit further on and with a meal. It’s just all very scary haha! I know so many people who’ve done much worse during pregnancy. It’s terrible x
@Megan you’ll be fine .. just not excessive xx

Yes! First pregnancy I had one here and there. Turned 30 and got married! But after first trimester. Also I didn't know I was pregnant till a good few weeks in and was drinking normally. My nan thinks I'm crazy when I say I can't drink I am pregnant! She had 7 kids all healthy 😂
@Sammy thank you for saying this! God the stigma of "one drink will kill your baby" ridiculous x
I had a random craving for an ice cold glass of white wine & another time for a cold beer. I considered getting a 0% beer but I was too anxious to buy it pregnant. Don't ask why 🤣
My colleague (an actual GP) said to me "don't stress about having the odd drink when pregnant, I did & my kids are fine!" And her kids, honestly are perfectly fine 😅
@Sophie-Jayne it’s honestly terrifying hearing that even a sip can harm your baby but I swear once your in the second / third trimester it’s okay to have the one off drink x
@Star i feel like there’s a lot of stigma around it though for obvious reasons ofc. I’m from UK as well and so many people look down on it haha
@Megan in my opinion the rule is there for people that are unable to just have 1 with dinner! Last time I was pregnant I was on holiday in Greece and they laughed at me when I said I can't have a drink I am pregnant... it's just not the norm for them. I wouldn't sit there every weekend drinking, but a special occasion with dinner I'll have a glass of wine! Maybe with soda. I don't know any one of my friends that went completely sober! X
@Sophie-Jayne oh like people who would drink excessively? I used to be a big drinker so it’s been really hard cutting everything out so suddenly but worth it but having one glass would definitely be nice every now and then. I love wine with lemonade as well so would more likely do that if I do try so it’s more diluted x
@Sophie-Jayne I think what scares is mums who drink spirits while pregnant then do drugs🥲
@Megan me to don't worry! I like to call it functioning alcoholic 😂😂 the first time round we had about 6 weddings to go To and I would have literally a spec of wine and then lemonade! You get the taste of the wine.. just! Also M&S does really good low alcohol basically nothing, but it tastes like it still! Xxx
@Megan yeh I wouldn't touch spirits! Or drugs 😂 although I've known friends who had no clue they were pregnant and had big nights out and here we are! Xx
I was sick throughout my pregnancy, so I didn't miss wine at all, really, as I was getting the feeling of being hungover anyway 🤢
@Rachel I felt the same during my first trimester up until 17 weeks now I feel okay haha
@Sophie-Jayne it’s like those cryptic pregnancy’s, I think is so crazy haha!
@Megan I wish I only had it in my first trimester. I started being sick from about 6 or 7 weeks pregnant. Found out I was pregnant at 9 weeks & carried on being sick right up until I had my c-section 🫤

@Rachel oh bless. I can imagine that was hell :( hope you’re feeling much better now though!
I'm 35 weeks and have been missing wine more than anything else probably! I have tried a few zero wines now, they're not the same but my favourite so far is Eisberg sauvignon blanc. Does anyone else have any they would recommend?
I was fortunate that even my favourite wine smelled terrible during my pregnancy. But something that did make me feel a bit better when missing the “ritual” of having a drink was the non alcoholic koppabergs. They were loaded with sugar so kind of hit the spot lol
@Megan my little boy is nearly 3 so I definitely am thanks 😉 the first glass of wine after you've had baby will be worth the wait 😊
@Lucy I’ll have to try that! I really am just missing the buzz I suppose and taste haha xx
@Toni I’ve heard a lot of good things about koppabergs so will have to try them!
Definitely! The only non/low alcoholic stuff I enjoyed were the 0% G&T tins from Tesco and the fruity ciders from Aldi/lidl! I wouldn’t waste your time with the non alcoholic wine as it’s rubbish 🤢
@Lizzie what is considered low alcohol? I do like non alcohol G&T cans tho!
@Megan they are like 0.01% or some thing, I just don’t think they’re allowed to class themselves as 0%!
@Lizzie ohh that’s not actually too bad tbf. Will have to have a look!
@Megan low is 1.2% or less alcohol free is 0.5% or less 🙂
@Megan ahh I see! So free alcohol would be better ? :) it’s getting warmer now too so definitely wanna find something to enjoy hehe
@Megan personally yer I would go alcohol free but I will keep in mind the “low alcohol” stuff when I am breast feeding as it will be out your system faster 🍹🥂
Yes my babygirl is nearly 7 mnths old when i was pregnant it was hard not to have a drink 🍷 but then u have a good reason not to touch alcohol as your pregnant, it will soon come quick then you can enjoy urself with a glass or 2…. X
💯 Christmas Day I was sniffing everyone’s wine like a psycho 🤣 I really missed it that day!
