3 year old knee pain at night?

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat. Every few nights, my daughter begins crying at bedtime or sometimes in the middle of the night saying her knee is hurting. She's not done anything and there's not a scratch on her, and by morning she's completely fine. My gut tells me this is growing pains, but it's odd that it's always a knee. I remember having them in my lower legs, like my shins and calf muscles. I'm torn whether to book a GP appointment since if it is growing pains like I expect, then it's a waste of an appointment... Does anyone remember having growing pains in a knee? Has anyone else's child experienced this and it was something else?

Every now and then my boy says the same he'll say knee and point to it and then sometimes it's the shin. I was torn too but I'm assuming it's growing pains x

My little boy started with this exact thing at the age of 3 he is now 7 and it’s still on going ,,he’s had mri, X-rays, blood tests all fine and it’s just growing pains but it’s draining some nights he is up hours crying , we use a microwave heat pack and calpol but it feels relentless it’s always in the one leg too 🫣 x

Sounds like growing pains my son had them and ibuprofen worked better than carpool so maybe worth a try?
