Baby isn’t taking formula well, can we switch brands?🙏

Hello, I'm a first-time mum to a little boy who will be six weeks old tomorrow. We've recently been battling with our boy vomiting his formula back up; he's currently on Cow and Gate, but he doesn't seem to be holding it down. He used to be combo fed until personal circumstances caused too much stress, causing my supply to drop dramatically over a few days and leaving me unable to fulfil his demand ever since. So he's been strictly formula-fed for the past couple of weeks while undergoing a relactation process to gradually regain it. I took him to the doctor, who said he doesn't appear to be dehydrated but was put on colic drops to help try settle his stomach, but it doesn't seem to be helping much. So now I'm concerned about him maintaining his weight and staying hydrated because he can't keep anything down at all and it doesn't appear to be improving. We can’t even put it down to over feeding since he’s done it multiple occasions after just maybe 2 oz. As a first-time mum, I'm not an expert in formula, so I'm not sure whether I can switch brands at this point to see if he needs something different. Even if I am allowed to transfer brands, I'm not sure which one is ideal for this situation. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their baby and can help me or recommend anything to try? Any assistance or suggestions will be much appreciated. I’ve put a photo below of the formula we’re currently using.

Has your little boy been assessed for tongue tie? Reflux is usually the cause of underlying oral function issues. I’d recommend getting an oral assessment privately if you can afford too. I personally wouldn’t switch brands straight away as it’s unlikely to be the actual milk as the problem. But if you do choose to you can do it gradually by changing 1 bottle a day to the new formula and increasing this daily until all bottles are the new formula x

We switched our daughter to cow and gate anti reflux formula (it’s thicker) which helped significantly x

@Megan I’ll definitely try look into the tongue tie as I didn’t know anything about that so thank you very much x🩵

@Grace thank you x🩵🩵

My baby struggled with a few types of formulas before we found a good match, it's normal to have to find one that works for your baby. You could try a ''gentle' formula which has broken down pretien enzymes making it easier for baby to digest. Unsure where you live but I live in the US and used Organic Bobbie Gentle. You can do a cold turkey switch to a new formula or slowly mix in new formula with old to make the transition easier. I knew my baby was not feeling good on the old formula so I did a cold turkey switch to Bobbie gentle and she immediately was better.

We’ve just switched from cow and gate to hipp because by 3pm one of our twins would just scream every time he went near a bottle. He’s been far more settled since and we’ve noticed our other twins pooing more regularly too now! We switched out a scoop a day to transition

My little boy use to projectile vomit his cow n gate back up but it turned out he had CMPA
