Starting school advice
As our LOs will be going to school next year, when do you start looking at schools? open days etc?

We have an older child so know where we want her to go. But also going to hold her back a year as think she’ll be too little to start properly. Eldest is a September baby so feels so young to me
I think open days are around October. I think you apply between sept 2025-Jan 2026
Thank you. @Sophie-Jayne was you told that that’s a guarantee? The preschools in my area have voiced it doesn’t mean they’ll get a place?
Yes with ours she will automatically go up! Although it's a paid for pre school & school x
Open days are generally October/ November time and you need to apply by mid January. You will then find out what school you have been offered in April

We've applied for the pre school To the school that we want to send her too and then she will get in to the school, but will look at a couple of others in the summer I think! Xx
