How old was your baby when you took them swimming for the first time?

Hey! My baby was born in December and I can't wait to take her swimming. I just wondered what age is recommended for her first dip 😊 Also any recommendations in / around Lincoln would be fantastic Thank you

Oooh I was wondering the same!!

I started swimming lessons around 6/7 months. You just need to find a pool that's a certain temp and no longer than 30 mins so they don't get too cold! Also use a proper suit x

I did the waters touch classes with aqua mama with my girl when she was probably about 10 weeks. That was really nice and good experiences for the baby for their first time getting in the water. The water there was nice and warm as it was a special pool. Generally public pools are quite cold especially for babies.

I’d love to know this too. My LO is 7 weeks now and I really want to take him swimming 🏊 I’ll also be using a pool in Lincoln so feel free to message me and we can link up together at the pool xx

We started classes with Aqua Stars when my little boy was around a month ☺️ Highly recommend x

We started when he was 8 weeks!

We took our little boy after his last lot of jabs to Yarborough leisure centre. Think we only spent 40 mins in the water because he was starting to get cold so might be something to keep in mind? He's now 2 and can handle how cold it is without any issues.

We started aqua stars when little one was 3 months but he hated it. Left it and started with Swim Days at 9 months and he loves it. We much prefer it to, it’s great! Most the leisure centres are quite cold so if you can classes are good initially

10 weeks old! We swim with aqua stars at queens park on a Tuesday x

5 weeks old x
