Fear of falling pregnant too soon after c section

Every month I worry I’m pregnant. I’m 5 months PP and midwives at the hospital advised to not get pregnant for 12 months, the spoke about the risks of uterine rupture! We use condoms ( couple occasions where sex started without but my husband did not come inside me). I still worry and have nightmares! I feel like this fear is affecting our sex life! Any advice on how to deal with this fear? Any positive stories of early pregnancy post c section?

Positive from me I was 4 months PP from a c section when I fell pregnant.. Both pregnancies successful and both c sections successful too.. Xx

Can you use another more reliable form of birth control? While the risk of uterine rupture is there (albeit low), there are other important reasons to delay having a second baby until 12 months minimum (eg increased risks of miscarriage, developmental and chromosomal abnormalities, preterm labor, nutritional deficiencies, etc).

The main risk is uterine rupture.... There are other risks yes but there very low... My midwife advised me the main thing is has long has there is 12 months between the actually c sections is the main thing to try and do but they also advise to try and wait has long has possible due to the risks but it happens gland they will deal with it more so then you think xx

I would use some sort of contraception for you if you're worried. We still use both condom + the patch for me, just gives me some peace of mind

I used the pill between babies as it worked in the past for me

If your wanting a non hormonal contraceptive then I recommend the copper coil. X
