Chicken Pox at work (primary school)

I teach reception and have just found out a child in my class is off sick with chicken pox. Multiple other children are off with unspecified illness. What should I be doing? I had it 30 years ago.

If u already had it then u shud have the antibodies for it. I only know as cp has been going around where i live and i ended up with shingles

I also work in a school and chickenpox has been doing the rounds, as long as you’ve had it before you should be okay 😊

As long as you have had it and your not close to your due date my dr said it’s fine (I thought my little one had it when I was 10 weeks pregnant) luckily just HFM 😅

I had a child in my class with suspected chicken pox and was advised by my GP that the advice was I should not be exposed to it even though I have had it as a child. They said I shouldn't be in the class and if it spreads, shouldn't be in the school. They said I could have a test to check immunity if it was requested by the midwife. Turned out the next day it wasn't chicken pox so didn't and continued as normal. It is probably worth checking with your doctor or midwife to find out what you should do.
