Apparently I have really good iron levels and my bloods and ECG came back fine it’s very hard to move around after a minute or so of doing so and I do a fairly physical job so having to take time off but I’m not sure if it’s going to get better or if I’ll be off sick til I give birth
I had similar and my midwife thought it might be dehydration making my heart work harder so I’ve upped my water intake and it seemed to have helped. Good luck!
@Shauna im starting to think it’s just how the baby is lying sort of like what @Elena said previously and my body is just moving around so the baby can fit but it just feels like my whole body is in pain or struggling atm and because I didn’t get this when I had my daughter it has panicked me a bit
I had this quite badly in the first trimester and GP sent me to A&E. They did an ECG and could see the palpitations but said they were something you can get when under stress (eg recovering from illness) and not a problem. Fortunately it went away at around 17 weeks and I feel much more normal now.
The growth of the uterus to accommodate the baby is pushing the other organs and give this sensation of shortness of breath. However, it’s also important you check your iron levels too as low iron might be contributing to this xx
