When did you announce your pregnancy?

For the mamas who has had miscarriages in the past. Did you ever think you announce your pregnancy too early? I’m 16 weeks and only close family and friends know. I kind of have anxiety from my 18 week loss in 2021. I keep saying that I’ll wait until I’m at a safe number of weeks and don’t even know when that is.

I think it’s safer to wait until after 20 weeks ultrasound. At that point you can’t really hide it anyways. Also I think if there is something wrong with the baby after 20 weeks there is a chance doctors can save it. I had a miscarriage recently at 10 weeks and now being careful with telling to everyone but my all my family knows since after 12 weeks.

A good rule of thumb would be to anoint when you’re 13 weeks or the start of the 2nd trimester. You’re typically out of the danger zone around that time

I told family right away but didn’t announce on social media until 12 weeks. For me I’ve had so many loses that I’d rather not be alone in the grief and every pregnancy should be celebrated whether it progressed or not !!

For my first after my miscarriage I didn’t tell anyone until I was 25 weeks, for this one my 3 year old told people around 10 weeks so we couldn’t keep it a secret 🤣

I didn’t announce both pregnancies till I was about 8/9 months. Pregnant now 18 weeks and still have only told like 5 ppl. I like keeping things private.
