Anyone struggling with throne of glass? NO SPOILERS PLEASE

I absolutely loved acotar so so much! I thought from what I’d seen I’d love throne of glass too but I am so stuck with it. I’m on queen of shadows and just can’t get into it. So much has happened/changed over the series that my interest just isn’t sticking at all.

They are so different, I'm acotar until I die. I finished throne of glass but I don't see the hype 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm also stuck on the queen of shadows book, I can't get into it either. That was over a year ago and I still haven't gone back to it 🤷‍♀️

I also think about how much I’m struggling with it and then look at the size of the last book and sigh🤣🤣

TOG is a unique one, as I think it changed genres/audience TOG and COM are YA romantic fantasy. Heir of Fire is more YA epic fantasy, bridging the gap. And then from QOS onto the end, it's NA/Adult Epic Fantasy. (And ACOTAR is Fantasy Romance and CC is Urban Romantic Fantasy. All of her series are different genres, and it throws people) QOS sets up the arc for the other 3 books a lot, and it does really feel like where the series shifts. She changed a lot as she wrote it. I enjoyed it so much more from HOF to the end, to me TOG and COM are setups that you have to get through (also how I think about ACOTAR compared to ACOMAF and ACOWAR). If it's the opposite for you, it's okay to not stick with it. You aren't reading for school, it's for fun. If it stops being fun, put it down and come back another time.

I’m on kingdom of ash and actually took a break and read a thriller after the tandem read as my interest is waining a little 🙈 but I’m determined to finish the series lol

Yeah I put it down and was in a bit of a slump because of it because I didn’t want to start something else as I had a feeling I wouldn’t go back to it. I then read onyx storm and have read a couple books since and still haven’t gone back to QOS. We will see, I was determined to finish it after seeing lots of people on tik tok saying it’s great and to stick it out but idk so much now🤷🏼‍♀️

I got halfway through the Heir of Fire and never picked it back up again x

I've read all of TOG, after reading ACOTAR first. And honestly I struggled. BUT the last few books of TOG are amazing. I'm ACOTAR till I die lol
