Meal ideas using pouches.

Hiya, I need meal ideas to give my 8 month old boy. We are using Ella kitchen pouches. I’ve tried him with most of them just struggling to think of what to give him for tea. At the moment he’s having brekkie and dinner and I give him a yogurt or fruit in the evening. What is everyone else doing? Thanks in advance.

Just whatever we're having in some form! Tonight we're having pie and mash. She'll have mash and broccoli ☺️ If we have pasta I'll blitz a bit up for her, she'll have soup, curry etc etc

We had salmon, courgette, carrots and cauliflower for our lunch.

Just give him whatever you do but modify it if needed. Tonight my baby had homemade chilli con carne (non spicy and no salt as was a baby recipe) with some potato waffles to feed herself 🙂. She then had an Ella's kitchen dairy free rice pudding pouch

I try and adapt our meals like others have said. I bought some of the no salt stock cubes, much to my husbands disappointment 😅, but I find some that have worked well for us are... Cottage pie Spag bol Chicken casserole Jacket potato Salmon and veg Mild chilli con carne and rice Roast (blend a bit and offer veg like broccoli and carrots as finger food) Sometimes I'll take some aside for him and then add salt and spice etc to ours after though otherwise I find it too bland but personal preference i guess! If we are having something that I am finding hard to adapt, or we have had a really busy day, we use the Ella's pouches and I give some fruit for a pudding so he's having some food to feed himself with. I'm keen for him to get used to the kind of meals that we eat at home though where possible. I did buy a couple of the weaning books with recipe ideas which look amazing but I just haven't got around to doing any!
