No, I will make sure there's one thing they like on their plate but that's all I've made so that's what they've got :) the only time I've done something extra is something like toast when they've eaten the thing they like and at least tried the other thing, then I'll make toast but that's about it :) does help me learn when they're being fussy vs when they dont like something:) but I won't make them eat anything, if they don't eat the thing I know they like them I'll presume they're not hungry and so far, seems to be okay
As above, depends if he’s feeling under the weather or not. I have found my little one will eat half his main, then has his yoghurt and then go back to his main and 9/10 completely finish it. And tbh i don’t fight it anymore. If he was to completely refuse his main and not try any of it, then i wouldn’t give the sweet and would just try it again in an hour x
Yes I do, something like toast etc just to be sure he has eaten something still but he usually always eat what's being given
@Gem mine will do the same! Its like a little yoghurt snack half way through haha 😂
I offer a picnic plate of fruit , raisins, yoghurt cheese, crackers, fridge raiders, biscuit and crumpet or toast and some sandwich meat and that kind of thing if doesn't eat meal, as I'd rather he eats somehting as needs to put on weight and is very fussy with emails at moment
No But I always cook two dishes A soup and something else
Yes, I want him to eat. As an adult I’d find it really frustrating if I was just presented with a meal I had no say in and didn’t like it or fancy it that night and couldn’t communicate that. I don’t make a full on second meal though. Usually offer something like a crumpet or toast or fruit and yogurt.
So if they're feeling good, not sick, I usually don't. I offer the fruits he gets after meal and call it done. If he's sick, like today, I do offer a backup (but I do try to already serve him things I know he likes). Most times, to be honest, he refuses the backup too.
