Sibling rivalry 2 under 2

Hi guys, Just after advice / ideas how you’ve resolved sibling rivalry. I have a boy (almost 2yrs old) who is quite sensitive and spoilt by grandparents and I’ve got a 4 month old baby girl. My boy preys on her like a cat and any chance he can he lashes out and scratches or hits her head with objects or his hand/nails. At this stage I sit her in a rocker up on the dining table to get things done but I’m worried about the future. I’ve tried saying gentle hands, I’ve tried to scratch him the same way , I’ve tried saying she’s hurt/she’s sad and he just laughs like an evil little devil. He’s not talking yet which makes it even harder, just odd words here and there.

Hi lovely I have 2 under 2 and went through similar. I did exactly what you did gentle hands etc moving baby away.. I don't have any advice only that it didn't last long in my case - maybe a month or two? Now the eldest is almost 3 and the baby is 15 months. They get along much better now, they still fight over stuff and the 3 year old still pushes her sister at times, but it's usually if the 15 month old is touching what she's playing with so I remind her that if she is playing and doesn't want her sister involved she needs to move her stuff up to the table where she can't reach it. All the best 🤍
