I feel like I'm failing

My 20 mo is such a picky eater and barely drinks regular milk. He lives off of snacks and fruit. It's gotten to the point where I've stopped trying to make things or only give him water because I've wasted so much food. I do my best all day with him and he's a happy, thriving boy.. but I feel so behind with food. Is this normal? I see other moms posting their children eating 3x a day plus snacks.. It's been my biggest challenge and I cant help but to feel frustrated when I make food and prepare and he spits it out or pushes it away saying no. Any tips would be so helpful! I've heard remove snacks and I try but I also rather him eat a snack then go hours without anything :(

Many children spit food out / play with it / or just don't want it . Maybe he's just going through a little stage . Just introduce little bits at a time eat with him try need foods . Never feel like your failing . But if your worried about he's eating always speak to a doctor x

I read that between 18 and 36 months kids go through a snacking era where they won’t eat a meal but will slowly graze all day. I just leave snacks out all day and offer meals that he won’t eat

My grandma actually just got me a book about how to deal with picky eating off Amazon. I just got it yesterday, though, so I haven't had a chance to read it. My son is 28 months old and a super picky eater and a milk goblin. Be great full. Your little is still eatting throughout the day and not just wanting milk. I just found out that milk or high levels of calcium causes iron to not be absorbed into the bloodstream, so my son was actually just diagnosed as being anemic, and now needs iron supplements. He is also only allowed 16-20 oz of milk a day now. Now that milk has been taken away he is now snacking like crazy but only wants carbs. I'm just happy I'm getting something in him though. I also just bought a unflavored vegetable powder i am putting on his snacks so at least I know he will get some form of vegetables now

My son will be 3 on April and refuses to eat anything. He has a list of around 10 "safe foods" and has even gone off most of them now. The only food we can get him to eat is chicken nuggets, potato waffles, sausages, yoghurts, cheese and fruit smoothies, and he will only drink shop bought smoothies, not any that I've homemade 🤦🏻‍♀️. We have always made him the same meals we have but the last 6 months things have been getting gradually worse to now wjerw we are even fighting with this list 🤷🏼‍♀️. We are under the health visitor at the moment, he has dropped a percentile. We have one more check up at the end of the month before they are hopefully referring him to a dietician to address the issue. With him, he's hungry, we know that and he asks for food but he has an aversion to so many different foods. It's so exhausting 😩😩
