He stands by the coffee table in the front room, his own choice
@Sam we'd have spaghetti bolognese plastered to everything 😂
Mine either sits in her high chair at the big table, or her high chair splits into a little chair and table so most of the time she sits there. She climbs in herself but gets strapped in. At her nursery all the kids sit in high chairs for meals and they’re all 1-2yo.
I have a little table and chairs for my daughter, he’ll either sit at the table with her or in his high chair. He’ll decide
Depends on the meal, for lunch and dinner I put him in his high chair (but then we don’t have table and chairs). For breakfast he is free to roam around the living room with his toast or croissant or whatever.
We use a high chair for her meals and snacks she just eats as she roams around x
My twins have been sitting in chairs at a table at nursery since 13 months old, at home they are still in their highchairs. It was probably closer to 2 my oldest sat at a chair and table at home because they like to f about tbf and then meals take ages. Nursery group eating settings with peers is so different to at home they tend to actually sit and eat because everyone their age is. I'm not ready for 3 toddlers f'ing about at a table at home yet, lol so development be damned they staying in highchairs!
@Shell we do but that’s just the price I have to pay to get him to actually eat 😂
I used to work at a nursery and we would try and encourage them to sit by the table (size and age appropriate) around about 19 months, my daughter is turning 19 months this month and I’m now starting to look at getting her her own table and chair but it’s whatever works best for you and your baby x
Usually breakfast and dinner at a table and lunch is usually on the coffee table as he likes to come and go to it
My little girl sits in her highchair for meals.. My son uses a booster seat (not strapped in) and went in that from about the age of 2. At nursery they do sit round a table but they have really small tables and chairs that they all sit on, so wouldn't work at home for us. I'd say whatever works best for you, go for it! I like knowing she's secure as she's a little escape artist and that the mess is semi confined 🤣
